I own a local food and drink business and I think we deserve an award. Can I nominate myself?
Yes, whether you own or work for a business you think deserves recognition, fill in a form and tell us why. Remember- the finalists are decided based on the quantity and quality of the votes so encourage your guests and customers to vote for you too by shouting about the awards- share links to the voting forms on social media and on your website and talk to your customers about it when they visit.
The business I want to vote for won an award last year. Can I still nominate them this year?
Yes- you can nominate a past winner or finalist from any year in the 2018 awards. However, any business which has won the same award for three consecutive years must take a break for one year before re-entering.
Can I nominate the same business in more than one category?
Yes! As long as they fit the category criteria, you can nominate the same business for numerous categories. Find out what we’re looking for here.
How are finalists decided?
A team of judges will sort through the hundreds of votes taking into consideration both the quantity and the quality of the votes before naming their three finalists in each category.
How are the winners decided?
Once the three finalists are decided, judges will be sent out to anonymously visit each one and put them through their paces, judging them against strict criteria.
When do I find out who has won?
Winners will be announced at the black-tie awards ceremony on 18th October 2018. There will be full coverage of the awards, with pictures of all the winners on the night in Somerset Life. You can keep up to date on the night by searching for #SomersetFADA on Twitter.
